The Transmission/Distribution interface and Statement of Works Process
We continue to play an active role in the activities of the Open Networks Project group tasked with reforming the Statement of Works process.
We continue to play an active role in the activities and outputs of the national working group tasked with transforming the Statement of Works (SoW) process that identifies constraints on the National Grid network.
As part of this collaborative effort, a number of trials have already taken place at different locations across the country that will help to give customers greater visibility on transmission costs and liabilities earlier in the process. These trials include bulk Statement of Works requests, materiality limits, planning limits and regional development programmes. Some of the more successful findings from these trials have already been adopted into our Northern Powergrid policies.
We continue to play an active role in work of the national Open Networks Projects and to act on its outcomes, building them into the service we offer for the benefit of our customers. To keep our customers and stakeholders informed and ensure we are engaging with them on this important issue, we have provided updates at our Connections Customer Forums and in March 2019 hosted a live webinar summarising our position and activities in the year.
