Frequently asked questions
The law requires that a customer requesting a connection to be made by a Distribution Network Operator must provide a notice (which is your application). It states as part of the customer's application you must specify the date on or by which the connection is to be made.
This will help us to identify your premises, determine land ownership, and ensure that any impact to third-party land is understood. The plan should be free of unnecessary detail and be suitable for use as a background layer for our proposals to be prepared.
The site location plan, with the boundary and the proposed meter positions clearly marked, is part of the minimum information we require you to provide.
You can use our online mapping tool to submit your site location plan or alternatively provide an ordnance survey or land registry plan. If you are struggling to provide us with a site location plan, our team can assist you.
Our Open Data portal offers access to data and information about our distribution network, including capacity availability.
