Northern Powergrid continues to work on the damage caused by the weather
Posted:
As at 8:00pm Sunday 5 January 2025
As heavy snow has fallen across the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire, around 26,072 customers have so far had their power impacted, with the most impact seen across the Yorkshire region.
Despite the weather continuing to impact our regions, our teams are continuing to work throughout the evening and have today restored power to just under 25,000 customers.
We will continue to work through the evening to get all customers' power back on as quickly as possible in the difficult conditions. Currently just under 1,500 customers are without power. We’re continuing to contact customers that are affected. Our Warm Hubs remain open until 11pm and can offer a place for warmth and hot meals. We apologise to those customers who may be without power throughout the evening. We will do everything we can to get those people who have been without power for longest back on as soon as possible.
We want to thank our customers for their patience. We understand how difficult a power cut can be, particularly in these conditions, and our teams will continue to work around the clock to get all customers’ power back on.
Our live power cut map is the quickest way to report your power cut and get updates as it holds the same information that our contact centre teams have about when your power is expected to be restored. https://www.northernpowergrid.com/power-cuts-home
