We are working as quickly as possible to get all remaining 2,871 customers’ power back on this evening however, due to the ongoing snow showers, we continue to see damage to the network and we will rely on our teams being able to safely get to where they need to be in some challenging conditions.

We’re contacting customers that are affected. If you are experiencing a power cut, please log this on our power cuts map here https://www.northernpowergrid.com/power-cuts-home or by calling freephone 105.
As heavy snow has fallen across the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire, around 22,700 customers have had their power impacted, with the most impact seen across the Yorkshire region.
Our teams have responded quickly and have already made great progress in getting the power back on safely for 20,186 customers in challenging conditions. We will continue to work through the evening to fix the issues causing power cuts to the remaining 2,871 customers, where it is safe for our teams. As the weather continues to be challenging, we will continue to work on keeping our customers’ lights on.
At present we’re working hard to get customers’ power back on this evening, however, this will rely on our teams being able to safely get where they need to be.
We want to thank our customers for their patience. We understand how difficult a power cut can be, particularly in these conditions, and our teams will continue to work around the clock to get all customers’ power back on.
We will continue to update customers on when their power is expected to be back on, answer customer calls, and send additional support vehicles and teams out into communities that are most affected where it is safe to do so.
Our live power cut map is the quickest way to report your power cut and get updates as it holds the same information that our contact centre teams have about when your power is expected to be restored.
