After an exciting day of announcing awards and considering future opportunities with Newcastle University on Wednesday, Thursday was the turn of leadership development partners Gateshead College.
They ran three sessions on project management and leadership for our colleagues in Castleford.
The day was also spent lining up multiple calls with colleagues and line managers with training providers to run through the importance of really understanding the commitment needed to undertake an apprenticeship.
These calls focused on the work that is involved over and above the day job as well as the need to balance workload and work/life balance.
We have a fairly robust process that we follow before anyone is signed up onto any course, and this is one of our most important steps.
Friday ends our week of activities in our Kepier training centre, where 24 colleagues will gain an insight into our network, learning about what components make up the network, what causes faults or power cuts all to work towards increase our knowledge and building a stronger team!
